The Grassroots Political Tour aims to explain the political reality of Jerusalem, and how Israeli policies continue to suffocate the Palestinian capital and largest metropolitan area.
The tour begins with a 30 minute historical briefing to explain the context of Jerusalem at Grassroots Jerusalem’s office at 9 Harun al-Rashid Street, Wadi al-Joz, Jerusalem.
After the briefing, we begin the 3 hour tour of the city by bus. The tour includes 5 stops inside and outside Palestinian communities in Jerusalem and covers issues of legal status of residents, economy, education, health, arrests, home demolitions and settlements.
Since the beginning of 2016, GJ has given more than 25 tours to more than 300 people.
