حوار الفنان مع وفا حوراني
يسر جاليري 1 ومركز خليل السكاكيني الثقافي دعوتكم لحضور حوار ونقاش للفنان وفا حوراني مع القيّمة رلى خوري حول سلسلة أعماله الفنية القائمة ضمن معرضه الحالي "مستقبل الاختفاء" في قاعات جاليري 1 ومركز خليل السكاكيني الثقافي. وسيتمحور النقاش بشكل أكبر حول مشاريعه الفنية التي أنتجها خلال 15 عام الذي مضى ومدى أهميتها ودلالاتها في الفن الفلسطيني المعاصر.

وفا حوراني من مواليد مدينة الخليل عام 1979 وهو يعيش ويعمل في رام الله. درس وفا حوراني السينما التجريبية في تونس، إلّا أنّ عمله يشمل مجموعة من الوسائط المتنوعة التي تضم الأفلام والتصوير والتركيب والأداء والموسيقى والشعر.
كان "قانون نيوتن الرابع" أول معرض فردي للفنان في مؤسسة المعمل للفن المعاصر في مدينة القدس. وفي عام 2012، قدّم أعماله في مهرجان التعبيرعن المقاومة، بولهاوس (Ballhaus)، برلين، وصول ومغادرة، أنكونا (Ancona)، إيطاليا. نيوتوبيا (Newtopia) ، ميكلين (Mechelen). قلنديا الدولي، القدس، لقاء في الدوحة وبرنامج عاصمة الثقافة الأوروبية، غيمارايش (Guimaraes). كما وعرض أعماله في العديد من المعارض الدولية الآخرى.
ولدت رلى خوري عام 1982 في حيفا. تعمل قيّمة، مؤرّخة للفن وناقدة فنية. حازت اللقب الثاني في تاريخ الفن من جامعة حيفا عام 2011. عملت مديرة فنية لمركز خليل السكاكيني الثقافي في العام 2014. وكانت قيّمة لمعرضي منام وإنتفاضة فنية في بينالي قلنديا الدولي 2014. تعيش خوري اليوم في نيويورك حيث تدرس لنيل اللقب الثاني من أكاديمية الفنون البصرية، فـي كتابة النقــد الفني.
Artist Talk with Wafa Hourani
Gallery One and Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre are pleased to invite you to attend an artist talk for the artist Wafa Hourani taking place with the curator Rula Khouri at Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre. They will speak out his artworks that are currently exhibited at Gallery One and Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre part of The Future of Disappearance exhibit. The debate will also mainly go into speaking about Wafa’s art projects that have been produced in the last 15 years and their importance in the Palestinian contemporary art scene.

Wafa Hourani was born in Hebron in 1979. He studied experimental cinema in Tunisia. He works with a variety of media that include film, photography, installation, performance, music and poetry. He lives and works in Ramallah.
His first solo show Newton’s Fourth Law was exhibited Al-Mamal for Contemporary Art, Jerusalem. In 2012, he presented his works in the Voicing Resistance festival - Ballhaus, Berlin, The Arrival and Departure, Ancona, Italy. Newtopia, Mechelen. Qalandiya International, Jerusalem. Encounter, Doha and the European Capital of Culture program, Guimaraes. He has also exhibited his work in many different exhibitions internationally.
Rula Khoury was born in Haifa in 1982. She is a curator, art historian and art critic.She received a Masters degree in art history from Haifa University (2011). Khoury was the artistic director of Khalil Sakakini Culture Center (2014). She was the curator of "Manam" and "Mapping Procession" at the Qalandiya International Biennale (2014). Currently Khoury lives in New York City, where she is pursuing a Masters degree in Writing Art Criticism from the School of Visual Arts.
