غوص– هي سلسلة صيفيّة لأمسيات عروض أفلام في فضاء سطح مؤسّسة المعمل في البلدة القديمة في القدس.

*غوص: حالة هروب٬ حالة اختناق.
مواطنون (أو ليسوا مواطنين) في دول تغوص وتُقَيِّد: كيف يصوّر الفنّانون في بلاد الشّام رهاب الاحتجاز ويُظهرون القدرة المسكّنة للخياليّ والإبداعيّ؟ في هذه السّلسلة٬ يقوم مجموعة من الفنّانين والفنّانات من فلسطين ولبنان وأماكن أخرى باستكشاف ظروف الحياة "المغمورة" في البيئات السّياسيّة المضطربة. آخذين بعين الاعتبار خصوصيّة كلّ وصف للتّاريخ المعاصر٬ تكشف هذه المجموعة عن لغة مشتركة من الدّالات العاطفيّة (emotive motifs)٬ عن تجربة مشتركة في التّحرّر من الأوهام وفي مواجهة القمع. نرى أنّ جميع هذه الأعمال لهؤلاء الفنّانين تتطرّق إلى عيوب متداخلة في التّجارب الوطنيّة في بلاد الشّام: انقسام٬ نزوح وتشتّت٬ بجانب التهكّم٬ قوّة الإصرار والبقاء.
في هذا الإطار٬ تمّ تنسيق هذه المجموعة من الأفلام القصيرة لهذه الأمسية. تجدون في الأسفل شرحًا وافيًا عن كلّ من الأعمال المنتقاة وحول مخرجيها كما جاءت في ترتيب عرضها.

Without entrance costs, *immersion screenings are made possible by the generosity and openness of artists from Palestine and beyond in sharing their work with us free of charge. We hope that everyone feels welcome to come and immerse themselves in these diverse and specially collated films.

*Immersion: a state of escape, a state of suffocation.
Citizens (or not) of states which engulf and bind, how do Levantine artists portray political claustrophobia and demonstrate the relief of the imaginative and the innovative? The conditions of life 'submerged' in troubled political are explored by filmmakers from Palestine, Lebanon and beyond.
While each depiction of whose contemporary history is unique, this collection reveals a common language of emotive motifs, a shared experience of disillusionment and suppression. Together, these artists' work speaks of the historical and political interrelations between national experiences in the bilaad ash-shaam: disruption, displacements and diasporas, alongside creative satire, strength of resolve and survival.
