Après « Les Absents », parcours au travers des vestiges de villages palestiniens détruits en 1948, j'ai voulu, avec ce nouveau projet « Album de famille » rendre vie à ces paysages désertés. Faire réapparaître les visages des femmes et des hommes qui auraient pu peupler ces lieux aujourd'hui fantomatiques. J'ai ainsi proposé à des Palestiniens de prendre la pose dans le style des portraits en studios des années 1940. Au fil des rencontres j'ai tenté de reconstituer un album imaginaire, à mi-chemin entre les photographies d'autrefois et la société d'aujourd'hui, comme égaré dans l'exil et dans le temps.

Following up on "The Absentees", which explores the remains of Palestinian villages destroyed in 1948, I want, in this new project, "Family Album", to return some life to these deserted places, by evoking the faces of the women and men who might have dwelled in these now ghostly ruins. To that end, I asked Palestinians to pose in the style of the studio portraits of the 1940s. Through these various encounters, I tried to piece back together an imaginary photo album, lost in exile and time, somewhere between the old photographs of yore and today's society.

بعد عمل "الغائبون" الذي يرسم مساراً بين آثار القرى الفلسطينية المدمّرة عام 1948، أردت في مشروع "ألبوم العائلة" الجديد بث الحياة في المساحات المهجورة في العمل الأوّل، وإعادة إظهار وجوه النساء والرجال الذين كان من الممكن أنيعمروا تلك الأماكن التي باتت اليوم خاوية على عروشها. ولهذا اقترحت على أشخاص فلسطينيين اتّخاذ وضعيات التصوير الشخصي التي شاعت في ستوديوهات تصوير فترة العشرينيات. وأثناء اللقاءاتالمختلفة، حاولت أن أعيد تشكيل ألبوم مُتخيّل يجمع بين الصور الفوتوغرافية القديمة ومجتمع الزمن الحاضر، فيبدو وكأنّه معلّق في تيه في المنفى والزمان.
